Our Impact

Project Importance

This project will be the only showcase / fair event that features the collaboration between government - academe - industry. It will also be the only event that encourages the students to showcase their school projects and receive recognition and seed money to start or improve their implementation.

Project Timeline

Run discussion group with educators or GenEd teachers for STS track for three pilot schools by August 2018

Encourage students of the subject from the pilot schools to group together, choose a real community problem, and create solutions using digital media + technology by August 2018

Create pitching workshops across the three pilot schools by September 2018 from volunteer industry experts

Run preliminary elimination of entries review by September 2018

Run an Action Civics Fair from the resulting teams by October 2018

Project Action Plan

Connect with at least 20 schools and introduce the fair.

Encourage schools to implement the project through their STS subject

Run a training program or workshop to teach the teachers to run the project

Connect with volunteer industry experts to run trainings on idea generation, development, and pitching

Run a pitching and showcase day for the chosen teams
